Easy Introduction on Increasing Traffic to Your Blog

Increasing traffic to your blog is fundamental to your blog's success on the Internet. As you'll soon find, it isn't all that hard to increase traffic to your blog, but it does take time.

Post Frequently to Your Blog
The first and most important rule for increasing traffic to your blog is to post, post and then post some more. Posting new and unique content on a regular basis to your blog is crucial to success.

Building Inbound Links
Another critical method for getting traffic to your blog in through by establishing links to your site on other people's webpages. This servers two purposes for your blog. First, a link on someone else's site can be clicked on thus bringing a visitor to your site. Secondly, links on other sites pointing to your site factor into the equations that Google, Yahoo and MSN use to determine the order in which sites are listed in searches conducted on their site. These types of links are referred to as "inbound" links.

When you try to develop inbound links it is important to make sure that the links are relevant. For example, if your blog is about cars then it doesn't do a lot of good to have an inbound link from a website about vacation spots. Your goal is to get inbound links on sites similar to your blog or, at a minimum, sites that target the same type of people (age, gender, interest, etc.) as your blog.

To begin developing inbound links, do a search for other blogs that are relevant to your blog. If your blog is about cars then search "cars" in Blogger Search or Technorati (two of the bigger blog search engines). Browse through the results that you get and make a list of those that you think are well designed and interesting. In order to get a link on those blogs you will most likely have to give something in return and usually the easiest thing to give is a link to them. So from that list add a link on your blog for each of the blogs that you liked. Then, after doing so, email the owner of each of those site and write something along the lines of:

Remember that these blog owners don't owe you anything for you linking to them, but often if you ask nice you'll get a link back.

Submitting Your Blog to Blog Directories
Another way to build inbound links to your blog is by submitting your blog to blog and web directories. These directories contain literally thousands of websites and very rarely will someone come to your site by clicking on a link in one of the directories. However, including you blog in these directories can in many case help your ranking in search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc). Don't spend too much time doing this but if you have a little free time they are worth looking into.

Write Interesting Blog Content
Finally, and maybe the biggest key to increasing blog traffic is to write interesting and excellent content. The most powerful way to get people to your blog is to write content that your readers want to read. This will not only make people want to come back but it will also make them want to tell others about your blog. Anyone can get someone to come to their blog once but getting someone to come back again and again, that is the key to increasing your blog traffic.

So post often, build links so people can find you and then make sure to keep it interesting. They'll come...for now, work hard and be patient.
I hope all ur hard work will bring big revnue to ur hand.

Easy way to obtain Approval for google adsense

If you are a newbie Blogger or Webmaster and if you are a applying for adsense to monetize your site, then you might have faced the situation where Google asks you to wait for atleast six months to qualify for your adsense account and get approved to show ad slots in your site. 6 Months is too much a long wait and there is no need to lose adsense dollars waiting six months.
What we found is that Google is not nearly as picky as they make themselves sound to be. The trick is to make your site in such a way that you are just providing content; we have found that the less selling you do on your approval site, the better.
There are 3 Main elements that you should focus on when getting Approved by Google Adsense

1. Site look and feel – Not that Google wants a $10,000 professionally designed website, but they also don’t want some piece of junk. Make sure to at LEAST have a presentable website – even if it is just a few tables and a solid background color. Avoid using tacky backgrounds or unprofessional color contrasts.

2. Content – The most important – Google believes in content. If you try to get a website with just a few pages approved, I don’t think you will have any luck. You need to have at least 15-20 pages, preferably, 15-20 pages of articles/resources, a.k.a. content.

3. Traffic – Many experts say that Google Adsense team looks to see what kind of traffic you have and that they do not approve new sites with no traffic. My experience says that these experts are FULL of it. BUT, just to be safe, before you submit your site for approval – try to get your site some traffic.

Here are useful tips you need to make the entire Adsense Approval process Easier and Quicker How to Get Approved by Google Adsense without wait for 6 six months - Make Account Active

1. Get content from article directories like goarticles– just put those articles in your site, getting 15-20 is easy.
2. Before you submit your site for approval, post at some forums with your website’s link in the signature file – this will help you get some immediate traffic.
3. Make a very simple website with 15-20 articles, a contact us page, a privacy policy and the typical disclaimer.

That’s it – you’re ready to get approved for Google Adsense. (Pic Show Adsense Pin Envelope you will get after 6 months)

I know this sound too easy, but trust me, it is. And remember, if you do not get approved, you can always fix things and try again.

The Top 10 Alternatives to Google Adsense

Google AdSense is the current leader in content-sensitive web-based marketing. Webmasters can place Google AdSense JavaScript code on their web pages in order to allow Google's servers to show context sensitive advertisements (Google Adwords). The left hand side of this page shows an example of a Google AdSense skyscraper displaying a text or image ad.

Google's terms and conditions are very strict such that many web publishers cannot use adsense adverts on their sites. They are either denied from joining the Google AdSense program, or in a situation that is becoming more and more common do not wish to do business with Google. A number of publishers are also finding their Adsense accounts are being disabled for reasons that are completely beyond their control. The problem is that most of the alternatives to Google's Adsense are pretty useless. Most of the good ones (such as doubleclick) are only interested in very large volume customers and so are not interested in the little guy with his blog who wants to earn a small income on the side. For this reason I have compiled my Top 10 alternatives to Google's Adsense that are ideal for the small time publisher.

If you are a advertiser then you may be interested in these best alternatives to adwords.

Has your adsense account been disabled? Then try these top 10 alternatives.
  1. AdBrite
  2. Clicksor
  3. Bidvertiser
  4. Chitika
  5. AdToll
  6. Exit Junction
  7. Yahoo Publisher Network
  8. Target Point
  9. Fastclick
  10. ClickThruTraffic

Note: The descriptions are based on personal experience and do not represent any form of endorsement.

1) AdBrite

AdBrite, is currently one of the best alternatives there is to Google's adsense. While they do not offer the same large selection of ad formats that Clicksor and Google Adsense provide you they do offer the most commonly used ones. In addition they offer inline page links with have some great click through ratios as well as interstitial full page ads which offer an excellent way to monetize all traffic to your site not just traffic that clicks on your ads. Their payouts are also very competitive. They have more relaxed terms and conditions than Adsense and are much more accepting of smaller publishers including bloggers.

If you're a publisher, use AdBrite to set your own ad rates, and approve or reject every ad that's purchased for your site or just have AdBrite auto accept ever ad. AdBrite enables you to instantly sell ads to your visitors via a "Your Ad Here" link, in addition to selling through AdBrite's marketplace and sales team.

Revenue is typically split 75/25 in your favor. Through a small snippet of HTML placed on your site, they handle serving, scheduling, billing, customer service, and sales. About half of AdBrite's sales are generated from the marketplace and sales team, while the other half are generated from users clicking "Your Ad Here" on your website.

While AdBrite can provide publishers with more revenue and better ads than traditional ad networks such as Google AdSense, they work fine along-side them as a way for you to generate additional ad revenue by selling ads directly to your visitors -- something the other ad systems don't do. Ad Brite also lets you select your own minimum bid prices and give you the option of showing an alternative ad service such as Clicksor when bid prices fall below your minimum.

If you're using AdBrite on your website you also have the option to turn off AdBrite's "run-of-network ads" and AdBrite will only display ads that have been approved by you allowing you to prevent competitors ads being shown on your site. If you have no ads running, AdBrite will display nothing but "Your Ad Here" or your alternative ad provider.

Note, from my experiences it can take a day or so from when you signup with AdBrite and put their code on your website to actually start seeing relevant ads showing up. So if you see the message "Advertize on this site" just be patient and give it a day or so and you should start seeing relevant ads showing up.

AdBrite also accepts Blogs and Bloggers as sites so if you are fed up with other programs turning you down because their terms and conditions restrict Blogs try AdBrite.

2) Clicksor

Clicksor is one of the current leaders of the small publisher Adsense competition. They have payouts upto a market leading 85% and unlike a number of alternatives the cost per click bid values are high enough that you can earn a decent income. They are also, in my experience, much more tollerant than Google. Their terms and conditions suggest that you should only place one copy of their code on a page but as long as you only place a single pop-up or DHTML code on a page they seem happy to let you place many context sensitive ad blocks on a single site.

Clicksor also has a big advantage over a number of the lower ranked alternatives on this site in that their ads are truly context sensitive. Thus while you can provide keywords they have technology that will also show ads targeted to the content of your site. This means your visitors are exposed to ads of the same subject as they were searching for when they reached your site and thus vastly increases the click thru ratio and thus your sites earning potential. The context sensitive nature also saves you the hassle of having to specify keywords for all of your sites and decide in advance what people might be looking for.

The online stats provided by Clicksor are not perfect but they are enough for you to keep track of the trends with your site. They also allow you to add as many sites / domains as you want under a single account. You also only need the root page of your site approved. Once this is done you can place ads on all of your sub pages.

The payment schedule with Clicksor is also much better geared to the small site owner. In any pay period in which your earnings exceed $50.00 ($20.00 with PayPal), payments are made either by check or instantly through PayPal ($20.00 minimum for PayPal). Revenue totaling less that $50 (PP $20) will rolled into the following period. The pay period is based on a 15 day schedule so you can get paid much more frequently. Clicksor also do not require a Social Security (SSN) or Individual Tax Identity Number (ITIN) to join and so while this 'technically' does not help US site owners with their tax liability it does make it much easier for non US citizens to join up and start earning revenue.

Advert wise Clicksor features:

Multiple formats available including text, image and animated ads.
Text Links
Image Ads
Flash Ads
Animation Ads
Banners
Pop unders
Interstitial Ads (NEW)
Dynamic (DHTML) highlighting

Click here to visit Clicksor's website and sign up for an account to try it out. There is no obligation and no fees ever. Note, once you start adding the advert code to your site it can take up to 24 hours for Clicksor to get up to speed as it were so initially you may see some ads that don't appear to be relevant. Once their contextual engine kicks in, however, the relevance quickly improves.

3) Bidvertiser

Bidvertiser can be a useful alternative to Google and offer some intriguing ad formats including what they refer to as free design. This lets you specify the look and dimensions of your text ads. While a useful feature I have not investigated how well it works but imagine that while it sounds good on paper it could result in lower priced ads being displayed. I.e. most advertisers will probably want to keep control of the layout of their ads and so turn off support for Free design ads.

Bidvertizer pays you either in $25.00 increments by check or $10.00 increments by PayPal.

Customize the layout of your ads: BidVertiser gives you a simple point-and-click tool to help you customize the layout of the ads to fit your site's look and feel, in order to retain the high quality of your website. Bidvertizer also offers the opportunity to block unwanted ads. The reports provided by Bidvertiser are adequate but not outstanding. The only real problem is that they can be picky with who they accept into their program and can be quick to ban users whose websites show what may be perfectly valid fluctuating visitor behaviour. Click here to visit Bidvertiser's website where you can either sign up as a publisher (show peoples ads on your site) or as an advertiser (show your ads on other sites).

As an advertiser you can get $20 in free clicks by following this link: Bidvertiser Advertise and get $20 in free clicks.

4) Chitika

Chitika - The Leader in Impulse Merchandising
Chitika (pronounced CHIH-tih-ka) was founded in 2003 and is the industry's leading impulse merchandising company. Chitika was founded in May 2003 and is based in Massachusetts. Chitika (pronounced CHIH-tih-ka) helps web publishers generate revenue using innovative publisher-side advertising and merchandising solutions and services.

Chitika doesn't really stand alone as a single advertising solution but instead provides you with a way to compliment your existing advertising / publishing program with some additional Ad Units which are altogether different from the standard ad boxes, pop-unders etc that everybody else provides. Instead of displaying these 'industry standard' advert boxes with text and image ads that all look the same they instead provide active boxes that show targeted products from different manufacturers. If you run a blog for example and discuss a product you may find the chitika box showing links for this product and competitors products. If people purchase these products you get a paid a commission. This is referred to as impulse marketing in the form of Premium Ad Units (eMinimalls). Feel free to give it a try although I think the ideal use of this service would be as a compliment to another advertizers service. E.g. you could show Clicksor context sensitive ads on your site and then compliment these with Chitika's eMinimalls.

For advertisers and media buyers, Chitika is a proven channel for targeting on-line consumers and qualified buyers. For all publishers, Chitika is an easy-to-use platform for earning daily ad revenue. If you visit a site showing Chitika's ads from a search engine then the Chitika premium ad unit kicks in showing you ads that are specific to your searching - otherwise you can have it show an alternative ad provider, such as adsense, or you can just have it collapse away to show nothing.

Chitika allows you to display targeted products based on what people searched for to get to your page and you get paid for clicks. It provides a robust comparative shopping experience for your visitors. Visitors will love the interactive search code -- and it makes you money

Click here to visit Chitika's website and sign up today.

5) AdToll
AdToll pays on a CPC basis. Their user interface is great and navigating through the user panel is both easy and pleasant. Payments are available via Cheque, Paypal, ePassporte and Wire/Bank Transfer. It is also possible to use the revenue you earn as a publisher to advertise your website further. Such integration is something that is entirely missing from Google's adsense-adwords.

The newest technology by AdToll is a Peel Away Ad technology that shows a peel on the top right hand side of a web site. When the mouse moves over the peel it opens smoothly to reveal the advert within. This new ad format allows you to make use of the lesser used, yet highly visible top corners of web sites. It is very non intrusive to the site visitor. Since it uses a small amount of space, it is efficient use of web site real estate. An additional plus is that such a new advertising format always draws curious clicks for visitors.

Click here to visit AdToll and sign up for a no obligation account today.

6) Exit Junction

Exit Junction is relatively new and, I believe, a spin off from the now defunct Revenue Pilot. While Revenue Pilot has stopped running, however, Exit Junction is going from strength to strength. Exit Junction offers a unique approach to advertising that is compatible with all the other Ad Networks included Google Adsense. The key to Exit junction is that they focus on showing ads to users as they leave your site rather than as they arrive or as they browse. This approach offers you an additional way to monetize your traffic and also capture ad revenue from those that stumble upon your site from a search engine and then immediately leave.

By adding a small piece of Exit Junction code to the header section of your site users are shown an advert as they hit the back button. For example, if a user came to your site from a Google search and then immediately hit the back button to return to that search they would be shown an Exit Junction Ad in between your page and the Google search and you get paid for this impression. The ad is directly targeted to the search term that brought the visitor to your site in the first place. Hence Exit Junction is an ideal way of complimenting your existing ad services and so increasing your sites revenue without having to switch from your current ad provider.

Exit junction also covers all countries. You get paid for all traffic exiting you site regardless of its origin.

They offer fee free payout via Check or PayPal with earnings of as little as $25 on a monthly basis.

Click here to signup with Exit Junction for a free no obligation account.

7) Yahoo Publisher Network

Yahoo are currently playing catch up to Google and are trying to release their own context sensitive advertising service. This promises to be an excellent alternative to Google Adsense but in reality is likely to be a simple copy with the same restrictive terms and conditions as Google, including $100 minimums on payouts. The system seems to have been in beta test for several years now, perhaps explaining why Yahoo as a company is suffering. Unfortunately while you can visit their site and sign up to register for an account don't expect to actually hear back from them. They are either extremely selective or are simply not accepting new publishers and advertisers, either way they won't even bother to get back to you to let you know this and most applicants won't even receive a reply saying their application has been rejected. Thus until it goes live and it becomes clear what type of website owners Yahoo will be targeting I cannot place it any higher in this list.

Advert wise Yahoo Publisher Network will feature:
Display ads related to the content on your site. You'll earn revenue from qualified clicks.
Integrate other Yahoo! services into your web site, including Add to My Yahoo! (RSS), Y!Q and much more to come...
This beta program is just the beginning. Our mission is to deliver products and services based on the needs of the publishing community.

8) TargetPoint

Targetpoint's services are particularly publisher-oriented, you have absolute control over the appearance of your ads. They provide supervision over ad content. The payouts tend to be reasonable but they can be quite choosey regarding which sites are accepted.

Advert wise Target Point provide:
Adpoint generates content-relevant, revenue-evaluated ads.
Exitpoint helps utilizing the full capacity web exit traffic.
Imagepoint serves visual ads. Known to the rest of the world as Image ads.
Underpoint serves pop-under ad windows.
Searchpoint (beta) features enhanced search capabilities, which enhance your users experience and generate additional profit.

Registration is free and they pay back a minimum of 60% of the total on-click revenue. Payment options include Bank checks, PayPal and Wire transfers (if eligible).

9) FastClick (Now known as ValueClick)

At first look FastClick would appear to be one of the better alternatives to Google's Adsense however, they are one of many online advertising companies that tend to favor the large customers. You'd think companies would have learnt from Google's success and accepted that the way to make money is to target both large and small. Remember Excite? They went the way of the dodo because they only targeted the top 100 companies rather than the small guys who can't afford large TV adverts and have to advertise on the Internet instead. Anyway, I digress. If you can get yourself accepted to FastClick (now called ValueClick) then you will probably be able to run some reasonably high paying adverts on your site but most small website owners will find that FastClick simply aren't interested.

Advertising wise FastClick (ValueClick) offer an industry-average 65-percent monthly payout on all advertising revenue your website generates. Fastclick pays by the 25th of the month for the previous month by check or PayPal.

Formats include:
Text Ads
Image Ads
Interstitial
Pop-Under
InVue

10) ClickThruTraffic

Not the best alternative but if you can't get accepted by any of the above you can always try these guys. They claim that you will earn between 6 and 20 cents everytime a surfer clicks on an advertisement on your site but in reality I think you are more likely to see rates around the 0.5c to 2c range. However, feel free to try it out and see how you get on. Advert wise they offer text links, buttons and banners.

You can find some suggestions on optimizing ad layouts here. Click here for an unofficial list of high paying keywords.. Click here for a comprehensive list of Google Adsense Alternatives.

Note:- Google every alternative and find the link to register, we do not want to spread any adsense alternative link here.

Don't Exchange Google AdSense Click

Some people may try to get some good clicks on their Google Ads by exchanging click with others. As we know, it is violating the AdSense TOS. Google will warn you for doing it. If you want your account to be banned, then let do it all the time! Click here to read a post which also advise us not to violate the TOS.

The is what the post wrote:

As usual i was checking the DigitalPoint forums with a cup of coffee in one of my hand this morning. As i mentioned in previous posts i only check the Buy/Sell/Trade section.

When i got to the link exchange forums the thread title immediately got my attention(i had a feeling it will be something stupid) - Looking for google exchange click

Here’s what the thread starter wrote:

Are you interested in exchanging a few clicks for adsense? Only 1-2 clicks spread through out the day, and only once every few days.

I realize this is against the Adsense TOS, but i’ve been getting alot of clicks, and 0 earnings from them.

The best method i’ve found is to search for a term from google.com and then visit our sites and click an ad. Please only do 1-2 daily and spread though out the day for best results.

If you’re interested, please reply / pm me with what i should search for, and what site to visit.

I mostly laughed because he admitted that he knows what he wants to do is against Adsense T.O.S but he still wants to do it.

You got to be either stupid or willing to give up your adsense account to post a thread like this, especially if you would post your URL.

He edited the post, so i’m thinking that he removed the URL from his post and signature, because marieg warned him about the consequences:

I hope people will not report the site not because he’s looking to exchange google clicks.. I was thinking like maybe it’s not his site…

Oops it’s in his signature though

Although it seems that he found some click exchange partners, some people are really desperate to make a few cents without thinking of the consequences or alternatives which could help them make money from their sites.

This is a heads up for every one who tried/is doing/wants to do click exchanges. Google can easily determine if the clicks are legit or not. And if it turns out that the clicks are not legit they won’t hesitate to close your account.

Don’t be stupid! The whole world knows you can’t get rich over night

Why peoples get Banned From Adsense

You got ur Google Adsense account approved then you need to be careful of beeing banned from google adsense.
-->Nilesh Ranjan  Roy answers:- There are a lot of people who have been "banned by adsense" and are completely lost on what to do next. This is mainly because their entire income revolves only around google adsense.

If you've been an AdSense publisher for a while, you must have surely encountered people who complain about being kicked out of the AdSense program for no good reason. Although there are cases when the publisher may have been unfairly terminated, there is also reason to believe that most account terminations are in fact done for valid reasons.

Google Adsense is a great product that has made many people millionaires. In fact, Google Adsense might be the easiest way to "make some money blogging".

You simply sign-up to use their PPC service and then, upon approval, you have the option to choose the style of online ads, that could be placed on your blog. You get paid when each time a visitor clicks these ads, and you also get paid whenever your page containing the adsenses ad is loaded (through impressions). After you make $100, Google sends you a check.

Now, one of the darkest nightmare for anyone who is using Google Adsense (and which generates hundred percent of their online income), is to receive a notice from Google stating that their "Google Adsense account has been banned" or disabled.

Generally, the notice starts out like this......

"It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on the ads on your web pages. We have therefore disabled your Google Adsense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers."

Now, if your account with Adsense has been banned, what are the chances of getting it back?

The chances are nil.

Have you ever heard of anyone who has got their account back after being banned. And would their receive their money after their banned account has been re-instated ?

Very few and rare cases or very special cases.

It is understandable that Google are very strict when it comes to fraud. It is to be noted that people who click on their own online ads aren't stealing from Google, they're stealing from the advertiser who has placed the AdWords Ads with Google. So what Google is doing is protecting their advertisers' interests.

Most advertisers target sites which are new and which have great growth potential to place their ads. Generally, most of the newbies are not aware of this and the advertisers make a killing through Adwords. But once they realise they plans are not going according to schedule, they report (or fix) the site and generally it gets banned. This is one grey area, that Google is not able to fathom, as they value their advertisers over their poor adsense cousins.

Not only does the account become disabled, but also existing click-through earnings are refunded back to the advertisers.

It is better to forget about the whole incident as it is highly unlikely that Google will unlock your Adsense account again, unless you have a genuine and a fantastic reason (which ofcourse is a rarity).

So, try not to waste your time running after them with reasons as to why such activity was noticed in your site. Just remember, if need be anyone with bad intentions can fix your site.

Besides, it is the Internet age and everything is automated and Google's response to any sincere and arguing emails from your side would be useless. This is mainly because the answers are completely robotized.

So play safe and try and report any suspicious matter to Google. In other words, if you notice any of the below activities, report it:-

If you notice suspicious clicks, report it
If you accidentally click your own ads (it happens), report it.
If your site is suddenly featured on Slashdot, Digg, or some other high-traffic site, report it.
If you know something (press release, review, etc.) is going to send a lot of traffic your way, report it.
If you're in doubt about anything, report it.

Please note that Google always takes the "guilty until proven innocent" approach in its dealings with publishers unless you show a pattern of co-operative behavior.

Every once in a while I read this message in a forum forums..just got "banned from adsense" ..now what ??

It makes me wonder what the person did to get banned. It must have been probably one of the following items. Here are the top five ways (in no particular order) to get "banned from AdSense".

Clicking On Your Own Adverts (Click Fraud)

Bad - very bad. No matter how you slice it, though, there are definitely people out there who click their own ads, or encourage others to do so, for their own monetary gain. If accidental clicks do happen and you shouldn't panic if you accidentally click an ad on one of your own sites. Just drop a quick note to Google telling them about it and take steps to prevent it from happening again.

Not Following The AdSense Terms and Conditions (TOS)

Many people never fully read the AdSense terms and conditions, often referred to as the TOS (terms of service). Though the TOS can be vague at times, it is very explicit about various things you can't do.

Not Following The Google AdSense Program Policies

The AdSense program policies are technically part of the AdSense terms and conditions, even though they're listed on a separate page. This is where you'll find the information about how many link or ad units you can use on a page, what kind of sites are acceptable, etc.

Opening Multiple Google AdSense Accounts

This has become much harder to do since Google has added algorithms to detect multiple accounts belonging to the same person or entity. Each person or entity can ONLY have one account. If you have a legitimate need for two or more accounts, you must create a separate legal entity (like a corporation) for each additional account, and that entity must separately apply and be approved for a new account.

Ignoring Warnings And Questions From Google

Although certain events cause Google to automatically terminate your account, in most cases, terminations are preceded by a warning note from the AdSense team. This is your chance to defend yourself and to change. If you're not responsive, they'll just go ahead and ban you. (If you're going away for an extended period of time, you should check your mail every day or two and keep an eye on your AdSense earnings as well. Be sure to report any suspicious activity as soon as you see it.)

Now, if suppose your "Adsense account is banned", are there any other alternatives ?

Yes, there are many.

One of the easiest methods to bring in money into your blog is by selling advertising space. You set a price and advertisers bid for a space. Of course, the first thing you need to do before selling advertising space is to prove that your blog is popular enough to attract readers that can see the ads. One of the best ways to do this and show exactly how popular your site is would be by keeping up with the amount of people that visit your blog.

You should also make sure that you promote your blog in a way that it will rank high in the search engines. This is a vital step in making your blog popular.

You should also try some of the ad networks that are listed below

Adbrite

It is a system that allows people to run ads on your blog. They have a few different advertising options including text ads, banner ads, inline ads, and full page ads.

Chitika

This advertising option is designed specifically for blogs and there are different advertising programs to choose from including text ads, inline ads, and graphic ads. Most of them operate on a cost per click basis. Some people prefere Chitika over Adsense, although I still feel Adsense is tops. Then Chitika has another problem – it has a geographical problems – it serves to clients only in the US (although they may have changed that – do run a check before signing up)

Kontera

This is another inline advertising source where ads are placed as highlighted words that display a message when they are hovered over. Particularly useful for "hubbers"

Bidvertiser

You only display ads from the highest bidder with this advertising solution and you can block ads that you do not want to appear on your site. The payout level is set relatively low at just $10.

CBprosense

This works similar to AdSense, but display products from Clickbank with your affiliate ID already embedded in the ads. This can easily turn your website into a huge "Clickbank affiliate money" making site. Besides, affiliate marketing is booming and CBprosense puts your website right there, in front of the hungry crowd. CBprosense is similar in the way it works compared to other contextual ad delivery systems, but with one major difference. The CBprosense system delivers highly targeted ClickBank products that closely relate to the content of your page. Ads that your visitors will want to click on. And each time they do, you will have the chance to earn high affiliate commissions - not a few cents, but real dollars.

Basically it says don't go for peanuts, when you can make a killing by selling an affiliate product. In other words, what you get from clicking Adsense adverts are only some cents, but in this case, all you need is a genuine buyer to give you something like $20 (minimum). Even if this comes from one in hundred visitors, placing affiliate programs from clickbank are much more profitable.

And there are plenty more options out there, apart from the ones mentioned here.

You can also always sell ad space directly, to companies or businesses that are related to your blog topic.

Avoid Getting Your Adsense Account Terminated

How do you monetize your site?
Nilesh Ranjan Roy answers:- A quick answer is by earning a few dollars per click from displaying Google Adsense adverts on it. A lot many people are now realizing that good money is made from this source of revenue.

Now just try and multiply those clicks for every page on your website and you get a summation of earnings equivalent to a monthly residual income with that little effort you have made. Ofcourse, you need fresh content and a good amount of traffic, without which Adsense is basically useless.

Although Adsense may be a fast and easy way for all kinds of website publishers to display relevant text-based Google ads on their pages and earn money in the process. These text ads displayed are related to what your users are looking for on your site. This is the main reason why you can not only monetize but also enhance your content pages using Adsense.

Google Adsense has always dominated forums, discussions and newsletters all over the Internet and there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It appears that Adsense has already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered one of the easiest, if not the easiest way to making money online. All you need is a good flow of traffic.

Obviously, the key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. If the cost-per-click is higher (to the advertiser), the more you will receive per click from your site. In other words, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on those pages of your site that do not receive hits.

With the number of people getting online and clicking away everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an instant hit.

Google, being the undisputable leader in search engines is obviously placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines. Most especially now that the company is public property. In order to keep their shareholders and their clients happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme importance.

For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will obviously result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated.

So for those of whom, who are thinking of starting a career in Adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings. You have to also consider the below mentioned points, before you actually get involved.

Hidden texts

Filling your advertisement page with text too small to read, has the same color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.

Page cloaking

There is a common practice of using bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.

Multiple submissions

Submitting multiple copies of your pages is another thing to avoid. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense as two separate URL’s is the same as inviting trouble and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions. It is better to check whether your domain is already submitted to a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. Don’t just invite trouble by submitting there again.

Link farms

Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to. The search engines know that you cannot control your links in. But you can certainly control what you link to. Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having a link higher than 100 on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try and not to make them higher than that.

Page rank for sale

If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is okay to sell ads or gain the link. But doing so based on the advertisement of your page rank (PR) is a way to get on search engines bad side.

Doorways

This is similar to cloaking pages. The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user-friendly” page is a big issue among search engines. There are many seo firms offering this kind of services. Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.

Multiple domains having the same content

In case that you are not aware that search engines also look at domains IP’s and registry dates and many other criteria. Having multiple domains with the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content that are repeated many times on separate pages or sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

Most, if not many of the above techniques also apply to most search engines, and it is not entirely pointed to Google only. By having a mind set that you are building your Adsense together with your pages for the human users and not for bots, you can be assured of the great things for your ads and sites.

Alternately, should you decide to overstep you are only facing the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense account terminated altogether.
